Modernisme

This project connects Modernism with the famous board game Dobble, experimenting with traditional techniques.

The primary challenge of this project was to develop a unique edition of Dobble, inspired by the aesthetics of Modernism in Barcelona. This initiative allowed me to merge contemporary design with traditional techniques, adding a classic touch to a modern board game.

In collaboration with my friend Dani, we conducted thorough research on Modernist art, choosing to innovate and broaden our perspective beyond the usual paintings and figures. We immersed ourselves in the emblematic artisanal decorations of the era, observing the elements and symbols present in the streets, doors, and signs. Our dedication to craftsmanship was reflected in every aspect of the project: the game box was transformed into a handmade recycled fabric bag, and the cards were now made of kiwi paper with silkscreen printing and stamping. In this way, the entire project captured the essence of Modernism, providing visual and conceptual cohesion that conveyed the authenticity of the period.

Through this experience, I discovered the versatility of traditional techniques and how to integrate them into the creation of modern products. The process posed both an artistic and technical challenge, enriching my skills in printing and stamping while leaving a lasting impression on my creative and sustainable approach.
